Wonderful tour with views of the Silvretta glacier - also ideal for novice mountain bikers!
The Silvrettahorn and its glaciers seems close enough to touch. This impressive bike tour in the upper regions of the Prättigau offers a magnificent riding experience in the great outdoors for less technically experienced mountain bikers.
From Klosters Platz, the paved road climbs steeply to Selfranga. Once this first climb is under your belt, the trail continues at a more leisurely pace through the Ronenwald forest. Magnificent scenery opens up at the edge of the forest: the wide valley floor with its lush meadows lies ahead and behind the Silvretta glacier rises up into the sky. Anyone who decides to embark on this tour after work, will see the Silvrettahorn looking even more majestic in the evening sun.
A thrilling downhill now lies ahead down towards Monbiel: follow the fledgling Landquart upstream on moderately rising trails and forest roads. The Prättigau opens up one last time at the Pardenner Boden, revealing wide meadows. Then cross an impressive suspension bridge over the Vereinabach stream to reach the other side of the valley. The cool water is refreshing before the climb up forest paths and trails to the Alpine forest. The thrilling descent via Pardels to Klosters rounds this impressive tour magnificently.
This route is passable even very early on in the year. It is especially impressive in the spring, as there is still a lot of snow lying around on higher ground.
Travel directions: Follow the A13 and B28 to Klosters.
Parking: All parking is chargeable in Klosters Platz.
