Popular bike tour through high-Alpine terrain. Ideal as a great two-day tour with overnight stay in the Keschütte (hut).
From Davos you ride through the beautiful Dischmatal valley to Dürrboden and the start of the in parts very steep ascent to the Scalettapass via the old mule trail. The trail is 80 or 90% rideable for skilled bikers. The descent to Funtauna alp is pretty tricky in parts and will demand all your biking skill. You ride through the high Val Funtauna valley up to the Keschhütte, mainly on a good single track that becomes very steep on the final section.
The modern SAC hut even has beds with duvets and makes an inviting place to stay. After enjoying the magnificent glacier and mountain panorama, you make a superb downhill run through the Val Tours valley to Bergün. As you return to Davos from Filisur, crossing the 80m-high Wiesener viaduct and traversing through the Zügenschlucht gorge provide the final fabulous highlights.
Variante A: The tour is ideal as a great two-day tour with an overnight stay in the Keschhütte (hut).
Variante B: For the last section you can load your bike onto the train and return to Davos from Filisur by Rhaetian Railway.
