In winter a well-known summit for ski tours; by bike a breathtaking tour with a high quota of single tracks.
From the Tourism & Sport Centre in Davos Platz, the route leads along the Talstrasse towards Davos Dorf. On reaching Hotel Cresta, you fork left and begin the climb to Schatzalp. This is first on asphalt, crosses the Promenade and then after passing the last houses becomes a wide unsurfaced road.
From Schatzalp, the route continues towards Strelaalp where it splits. We follow the trail towards Bürschalp, Höhenweg and after Büschalp, the going gets very steep. Before reaching the Höhenweg, we branch off to the left and reach the Strelapass along the Panoramaweg. A superb single track leads from the Strelapass via Latschüelfurgga to the Chörbschhornhütte (hut). If you still haven’t had enough, you can hike on up to the Chörbschhorn summit.
From the Chörbschhorn hut you experience the highlight of the tour: a demanding single- track descent to Stafelalp. From Stafelalp you travel to Frauenkirch and return to Davos.
Variante A: The long climb from Davos to Strelapass can be covered with the Parsenn funicular. A racy downhill run leads from Weissfluhjoch through the Haupter Täli valley along the Felsenweg to Strelapass.
Variante B: Descent from Stafelalp directly to Frauenkirch and back to Davos on the cycle path in the valley.
