Tour description

Skating through the streets of Solothurn - explore the old town on wheels!

At Solothurn station, take the underpass towards the city centre, turn right before the river Aare, then turn left after 1 km and skate over the Röti Bridge, take the next road on the left, pass RegioEnergie and the Solheure restaurant, turning left over the Kreuzacker Bridge at the Palais Besenval, then keep right until the next bridge, the Wengi Bridge. Cross the river here, turn left and skate under the railway bridge through to the swimming pool.


Variants

Variant A: for the return journey, continue to the TCS campsite «Le Lido» and along the tarmac road to the football ground, then turn right into Segetzstrasse, pass under the railway bridge, then right down Wengistrasse, back over the Wengi Bridge and along the river Aare back to the station. (Length: 3.7 km)

as the route runs mainly through the city, there is likely to be traffic.

Important: cobblestones at the Landhausquai!
