Tour description

We commenced our round trip at the Kurhaus Balmberg. During our ascent to the Balmfluechöpfli, the Rötifluh offered us a glimpse into the geology of the Solothurn Jura. The Balmfluechöpfli is the goal of many climbing efforts and is also an impressive scenic outpost. The lakes of Biel, Murten and Neuchâtel are literally within one's reach. We reached the Röti after a short ascent. The view extended from Vogesen, Schwarzwald all the way to the cloud of steam arising from the Gösgen nuclear power plant. After a glass of Bürgerwein and a plate of snacks at the Kurhaus Weissenstein, we were in good spirits and returned to our starting point via the Balmberg pass summit.

Gute Trittsicherheit ist erforderlich.

Good to know:
The post bus can also be rented exclusively for group tours. The post bus to the Balmberg goes daily and all-year-round.
