The Grindji is a popular recreation area of Brig-Glis. From Brig you walk along the Saltina river - pass the open-air swimming pool Geschina and the great camping - to Saltinabrücke. Here, you follow the stone road along the river to the Grindji. The only strenuous stretch is comes now: the steep climb up to Ried-Brig, up to the Bleiken. After a short break, you walk on the plateau with views over the Rhone Valley direction to the village. Pass the old village center turn right at the Hotel Simplon in Brig-Ried in the street to Bachi. In the old Simplon road you will come along the beautiful Stockalperschloss in Brig. This hike is recommended especially in spring and autumn.
