Tour description

This tour is very suitable for families and it offers a lot of variety along the way. It leads over alpine pastures, most notably Musenalp, where cheese is still made. Then it continues through a wild landscape of rock formations and over the ridge to Buochserhorn, a popular scenic mountain.

Variants

Option A: From Musenalp to Bleikigrat and on to Buochserhorn.
Option B: From Musenalp to Niederrickenbach via Bleiki. The convent village of Niederrickenbach is especially worth visiting. From there you can take the cable car to Dallenwil and then the train or bus back to Beckenried.

Note(s)

Along this route there are a few small exposed sections, some of them featuring safety ropes.
