Tour description

The starting point for this trail is the quaint alpine village of Charmey, in the heart of La Gruyère. «Gruyères» is the name of the village, which is home to the famous castle and the equally famous cheese.

This short trail is not technically difficult and takes walkers to the top of the Col des Combes, the saddle connecting the Dent du Chamois to the Dent de Broc. The cross at the top of the Dent de Broc can be seen from the Col de Combes. The trail offers spectacular views of the Moléson, the Mont Blanc and the Gastlosen.

Variants

Variant A: Ascent to Dent de Broc (an additional 160 metres in altitude). However, this is only possible when there is no snow or ice cover. Mountaineering experience is a must.
