Tour description

(Egg - Schönboden - Stöcklichrüz - Bräggerhof - Vorderegg - Steinegg – Lachen)
This hike is of typical pre-alpine character. It is about 12 km in length, and you will climb 464 meters and descend 892 meters. This hike begins in Egg at an altitude of 855 m. It starts out on a good back road to Oberegg and then proceeds to the Naturfreundehaus (friends of nature) Schönboden, at 1087 m, taking a bit more than an hour. One continues on trails over alpine meadows in the Müligassegg direction to Stöcklichrüz, altitude 1248 m., the highest point of this hike. Then down to Diebishütte, Waldeggli toward the Bräggerhof Restaurant, Schweigrüti, Steinegg and then the Lachen railway station.


Alternative A: side trip from Waldegg to Dänisried, Schlipf and via the Johannisburg to Lachen.
