This beautiful hike along the sunny slope above the Rhone Valley leads through magnificent landscapes and charming Valais villages.
Starting from Fiesch, begin by hiking towards Wiler at the “Fieschertal/Bahnhof” turnoff, then continue towards Fiescheralp at the crossroads in Birchi. After a short time you'll reach the Laggeraweg path, which you should follow through the meadows and forests until you come to a bridge and the turnoff towards Martisberg. Once this climb is complete, the trail continues on relatively flat terrain. The route along the sunny slope passes the idyllic Valais villages of Betten, Goppisberg and Greich with their typical black larch houses. For the final section of the trail, there are two alternative routes available: hike downhill via Ried-Mo¨rel or Breiten, then take the train back to Fiesch.
