This easy walk leads you through the Flims forest to the viewing platform „Il Spir“, where a spectacular view over the Rhine Gorge is awaiting you. The turquoise waters of Lake Cauma invite you for a refreshing swim and simply give off a special Caribbean feeling
The walk with starting point Flims Waldhaus Caumasee leads through the forest for approximately 15 minutes, during which time you will already be able to take a glance at Lake Cauma with its clear, turquoise waters surrounded by trees in the dense forest.
During main season, an admission fee will be charged. Because the restaurant down at the lake is fenced and situated in the bathing area, you will have to pay a small entry fee which will be refunded once you have consumed something.
Once you will have passed the little rack railway leading down to Lake Cauma, it will take you a further 30 minutes before you reach Conn. The comfortable sun deck is the perfect place to enjoy your coffee, a piece of cake or lunch to get ready for your way back.
Should you have time for a little detour, a visit to the viewing platform “Il Spir” is well worth it. You will be able to enjoy an amazing view over the Rhine Gorge.
If you are too tired to walk back afterwards, how about a ride in one of the wooden horse drawn carriages which will bring you back to your starting point?
- Restaurant Caumasee und Conn closed during low season
- Narrow track railway to Lake Cauma only operated when the Caumasee restaurant is open
- Admission fee to Lake Cauma required
