Marvel at railway technology pioneering achievments of our ancestors amidst a fantastic mountain landscape. The steam railway Furka-mountain section (DFB) runs between Realp (1420 metres above sea level) in the Urseren valley and Gletsch (1760 metres above sea level) in the Obergoms area. This unforgettable adventurous journey in approx. two hours, in carefully restored historic trains, goes past snow covered summits via Furka (2160 metres above sea level) and passes by the enchanting Rhone glacier.
