We discover a good part of the Malcantone in this tour. The route passes through thick chestnut woods and typical Malcantone villages.
From Magliaso we climb on winding, unmetalled roads and partly on woodland paths. The path takes us above l’Alpe di Paz, to descend to Miglieglia and then on to discover the high Malcantone with its villages of Fescoggia, Vezio, Mugena and then on to Arosio. A short climb takes us to Alpe Agra, the highest point of the tour, with wonderful views of the high Malcantone and Lugano. From Alpe Agra we have a fast descent towards Cademario and then take woodland roads towards Cimo and Vernate and the starting point of the tour.
