The “Gogwärgini” were industrious little dwarves once said to have lived all over Upper Valais. Today, you can meet them on the exciting “Gogwärgi” themed trails in the Aletsch Arena.
Follow in the footsteps of the little dwarves on the Gogwärgi hiking trail, which runs down from the middle station of the Fiesch-Eggishorn cable car via the historic Herrenweg to Fiesch. The route is ideal for families who enjoy hiking, with ten “Gogwärgi stations” along the way to entertain them with traditional Gogwa¨rgini tales and playfully reveal some of nature's secrets. One of the highlights of the varied downhill trail covering an altitude difference of 1,150 metres is the Gogwärgi Tower, situated half-way along the route. Legend has it that the Gogwa¨rgini of Fiesch once lived in this stone pyramid.
