Follow the Grütschalp – Mürren footpath from Grütschalp station 1486 metres above sea level for about 500 metres. Then climb up through the woods to Pt. 1767. From here onwards follow the footpath via Alpweiden to Allmendhubel 1907 metres above sea level.
This walk is very worthwhile and offers fantastic views of the world’s unique triumvirate Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Unlimited views of the upper Lauterbrunnen valley and into the Trümmelbach gorge.
Route A: First ascend from Grütschalp in a northerly direction towards Marcheggwald Saustal and Marchegg. Follow the path at altitude back to Pt. 1767 and follow the instructions for the walk to Allmendhubel (additional distance: 2.3 km / additional climb: 90 m / additional time: approx. 1 hr).
Route B: Extend the walk by going via Suppenalp – Schiltalp – Spielbodenalp – Mürren (additional distance: 2.4 km).
A great variety of Alpine flowers to be seen along the entire walk.
