Tour description

While hiking the sound path in Toggenburg, visitors of all age groups can experience how stone sounds , or feel, how a tree transports sounds, or try out 25 different instruments. The path leads in three stages from Alp Sellamatt in Alt St. Johann to Oberdorf in Wildhaus. It includes 25 sound installations by the wayside that can be tried and played. Attractive text panels on every instrument contain interesting background information.

One can begin the musical trip at one of the three mountain stations of Selamatt, Iltios or Oberdorf. The hiking time for all stages is about 2.5 hours; with sound-experience and rest period one should allow for 5 hours of time. The stage Sellamatt can also be used with children s strollers and wheel chairs
