Tour description

This tour of the charming Val Roseg, an official Alpine quiet zone, starts at Pontresina railway station. By the first Bridge you cross the river, then continue along the same side of the river bank into the valley. The route takes you via crystal-clear, moss-draped streams, avalanche tongues where chamois can be spotted, past bilberry bushes, and through an age-old forest. At the last bridge, the valley opens up, offering a marvellous panoramic view of the snow-covered Sella mountain range and the Sella and Roseg Glaciers. Why not take a break at the Hotel Restaurant Roseggletscher, where the mouth-watering dessert buffet is not to be missed. Filled with new energy, you can now head back to Pontresina.

Variante A: Take the way back to Pontresina in the comfort of a horse-drawn carriage.
