This beautiful route on the sunny slopes of the Rhone Valley passes by idyllic Valais villages and hamlets. With technically demanding passages and an altitude difference of 600 metres to overcome at the end of the tour, it also has some real challenges to offer.
Starting by the tourist office on Riederalp, ride eastwards until you reach the Moosfluh valley station. Turn right here onto the path that winds its way in long sweeps through the hamlets of Biel, Bina and Gstalji down to Golmenegg and onwards to Goppisberg. The route now continues westwards on the asphalt road to Greich. The next section of the tour is a little harder: a challenging trail and two dykes leading to Ried-Mo¨rel. These passages will be no problem for proficient bikers, but otherwise you'd be well advised to push your bike across the dykes. Now continue on the asphalt road to Oberried. The final stage of the tour runs along a forest road back to Riederalp.
The ascent back to Riederalp covers an altitude difference of about 600 metres. If you'd prefer to avoid the climb, you can make your way back to the Aletsch Plateau on the cable car from Ried-Mörel.
