Bucolic landscape of valleys and hills

Bucolic landscape of valleys and hills

The church of Chapelle

The church of Chapelle

Tour description

From castles to fortifi cations, this trail in the historic heartland of the counts of Savoy takes you first to Rue, the smallest town in Europe. You will then wind your way through the bucolic landscape of valleys and hills towards the castles of Oron and of Vaulruz.

The church of Chapelle is definitely worth a visit. Its stained glass windows are the work of the Fribourg painter Marcel Dorthe, while the murals were painted by the Italian artist Anselmo.
