This trail was created in 1996 in honour of author Dr Carl Zuckmayer.
The trail leads from Zuckmayer’s former home, Haus Vogelweid, to Bärenfalle and then on to Melchboden. The ascent ends at Café Alpenblick, which lies in the middle of the snowy forest on the sunny slopes of the Hannig. The descent begins from behind Café Alpenblick and follows a zigzag path that then leads north. This section offers spectacular views over Saas-Fee and leads to Honeggu, located just above Saas-Fee on the outskirts of the village. From here, the path branches off through the snow towards Wildi and leads hikers back to the start point at Haus Vogelweid.
