The sight of an Alpine panorama reflected in a placid mountain lake is always impressive. On this hike you can enjoy this wonderful view at no fewer than three beautiful mountain lakes.
The starting point for this intermediate mountain lake hike is the Moosfluh, easy to reach by cable car. From there, the hiking trail leads downhill to the idyllic Blausee lake and then further downwards to the Bettmersee, located above Bettmeralp. The next stage is a cable car ride from Bettmeralp up to the Bettmerhorn viewpoint. Here you'll be inspired by the view of the Great Aletsch Glacier, centrepiece of the UNESCO Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch World Heritage Site. The mighty glacier remains in sight for the next section of the hike: the trail now continues along a romantic path with stone steps, partly carved out of the rock, to the Märjelensee lake in its surroundings that sometimes resemble a polar landscape. The way back leads through the illuminated Tälligrat tunnel or across the Tälligrat to Fiescheralp.
The short three-lake hike can also be walked in the opposite direction.
