Tour description

Leading upwards and down through hilly landscapes, first along the Jura Foothills and the river Aare through the Bucheggberg, a district of Solothurn particularly characterised by delightful farming villages (the farms are well known for their huge roofs), this impressive cycle tour guides you through a wide variety of near-natural cultivated landscapes.

Variant A: from Solothurn along the Aare to Büren, then back to the starting point via the villages of Oberwil, Lüterswil, Hessigkofen, Lüterkofen and Biberist (this variant slightly reduces the difference in altitude).
Variant B: from Solothurn to Büren an der Aare in the opposite direction and continuing along the Aare to Altreu (at first following Variant A), rejoining the original route at Selzach to return to Solothurn.
