A mountain walk from the Ofen Pass across the Munt La Schera, through the spectacular scenery of the National Park. The middle section of this park walk is treeless and austere. At the end, a narrow path leads down to the Alp La Schera, a steep path finally to Il Fuorn.
The walk from the Ofenpass to Il Fuorn leads mainly through the spectacular landscape of the Swiss National Park. This is the oldest natural park in the Alps and covers an area of 172.4 km2. Below the tree line, the land is covered with beautiful pine forests. Higher up, you keep getting magnificent views of all kinds of rock formation. These mountain rocks range in colour from chalk white and rusty red through to anthracite grey. Shortly after you enter the National Park itself, the mighty Bernina range towers up on the southern horizon. In the foreground can be seen the Lago di Livigno. The descent leads over the Alp la Schera and back into the main valley of the Ofenpass road to Il Fuorn.
