The Thaler vineyard trail leads along the ridge and around the south side of the Buech mountain (Buechberg). Twelve stops along the trail provide historical and current news about the winemaking, ecology and geology of the Buech mountain. A walk takes around 1-2 hours and is fascinating not only for adults. Underneath the pull-out panel there is information, puzzles and stories for children. And off you go, deciphering animal tracks, guessing terms, identifying gnaw marks or imprints etc.
There are restaurants, a picnic area and an observation deck with stunning views over the region in the immediate vicinity.
The vineyard trail is accessible with public transport via the Post Bus stops at Buriet, Nagelstein, Linde, Löwen and Alte Post. There are parking possibilities in the Nagelstein car park and in the village of Thal.
