Tour description

A very long tour which in some short sections is technically demanding, passing from the Leventina Valley and climbing to the Passo del Sole before descending to the Blenio Valley.

From Biasca we climb to Varenzo, passing through the Leventina Valley on a cyclable footpath. We arrive at the Lake of Ritom via a mountain road. The asphalted road finishes here and we take a sometimes steep mountain path that leads us up through the magnificent Val Piora to the Passo del Sole. Only the most skilled cyclists will be able to stay in the saddle for much of the descent to the Lucomagno road. Just below the top of the Lucomagno we reach the main road and descend towards the Blenio Valley. Above Olivone we turn onto a small mountain road and return to the starting point.
