Tour description

The Via Engiadina follows a route not far above the floor of the Upper Engadin valley. The varied hike takes you through Swiss stone pine and larch forests, across little, crystal-clear mountain streams and Alpine meadows, and past idyllic mountain huts and traditional Engadin villages, accompanied all the while by a breathtaking view of the unrivalled Upper Engadin scenery and the glistening glaciers.

Stage 3: Samedan - La Punt
The hiking trail starts at the Muntarütsch firing range in Samedan, and in no time at all you reach Bever. The Via Engiadina winds its way leisurely past the old Engadin houses at the edge of the village and up the flank of the Crasta Mora. Go past Legföhren and continue until you reach the Albula Pass road, offering a wonderful view of the lower part of the Upper Engadin, and then descend to La Punt.
