Tour description

First ascend to the Hinter-Weissenstein guesthouse, towards Hasenmatt. This meadow is a protected nature reserve. To enjoy an impressive view across the entire Swiss Midlands (Mittelland), you must take on the ascent to the Hasenmatte here. From the Stallflue onwards there is a wonderful view of the Solothurn countryside and the Aare all the way to the Alps. At the Wandflue, hike across lush meadows and enjoy a view of the Mittelland once again.

Variant A: if you would prefer not to walk on the path towards Hinter-Weissenstein, climb a short distance up the slope and take the easygoing Hammerweg that runs in parallel.
Variant B: a direct ascent through the shady Grosschessel forest to the Althüsli restaurant.

A fairly steep gradient from Egg to the Althüsli mountain restaurant.
