Tour description

In addition to being fairly flat, this round-trip on the plateau of Wirzweli is interesting and diverse in terms of scenery. Here you’ll enjoy views of impressive mountains like Stanserhorn, Rigi, Pilatus and Titlis, not to mention the lovely Lake Lucerne.


Option A: From Sulzmattli to Stanglisbüel, following the street to Wirzweli (distance: 2.2km / altitude difference: 94m / time needed: 1 hour / difficulty level: 2)
Option B: Descent from Oberen Holzwang to St. Jakob (distance: 4.4km / time needed: 1.5 hours / difficulty level: 2)


You can rent snowshoes at the Dallenwil-Wirzweli cableway mountain station.
